3 Sentence Ficathon

What is the 3 Sentence Ficathon?
This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like, as many times as you want.

What do I do?
You post prompts!  When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Only one prompt per comment please.

What else?
You answer other posters' prompts in three sentences (or more if you can't stop yourself) and fill as many prompts as you want, as many times as you wish.  If you see that a prompt you loved has already been filled, go ahead and fill it again!  Multiple fills of the same prompt allowed.

How long can it go? 
CaramelSilver kept the 2011 3 Sentence Ficathon up for a month.  I'd suggest closing it on Sunday, April 7, 2013.  How does that sound? (edit:  If we reach 5,000 comments sooner, I'll start a new one).

Are there any rules about cross-posting?
Nope, you can post wherever you want, whenever you want.  Last year, a lot of folks collected their responses together and posted them on AO3 under the 3 sentence fiction tag.

Gosh who are all these people writing such great prompts and fills?
Good question!  Come to the friending meme and introduce yourself if you like.

As  lady_songsmith explains, for the 2011 3 Sentence Ficathon, grim_lupine created a delicious account to archive the 3 Sentence Ficathon.   lady_songsmith has reactivated the archive on delicious for this challenge, so, here is the account (nothing current added yet, though): https://previous.delicious.com/3sentence She asks that if anyone would be willing to help knock down the backlog of the prolific-ness thus far, let her know!!  (She adds:  I know folks are kinda down on delicious with the changes, but, hey, it's an archive already set up with useful tags!)

On the subject of archiving, I really encourage people to collect and post their fills elsewhere.  That way, we can find your work more easily again, redundancy is always good and it's really useful for future remixes and other challenges and gift exchanges you might participate in. I'll start a linking post so that if you do collect all your fills and post them on your own blog or an archive like AO3, you can give give us the link in comments.

Batteries of all things gain him Danny's respect and if he'd known it was that easy he'd have saved himself a lot of stress. Working alone has its advantages but being a very necessary part of this team and feeling wanted here does wonders for his confidence and makes him feel great.

His father though is a different story and one night he confides in Rusty who says the legendary Bobby Caldwell is probably threatened by Linus outdoing him, some days he can sort of see that but still he craves the approval he's never likely to receive and instead tries to garner as much praise as he can from Danny and Rusty to fill the bottomless void.

Sometimes, Briar thinks that Tris is the kind of girl who would burn plants for fun, who would light him on fire just to see what happened. Tristan's Chandler is dangerous and angry and forceful and powerful, so close to being some kind of alien goddess that he is half-afraid of her. But, if he is half-afraid of her, then he is also half-in love with her and the way that, when she brushed her fingers down his arm or against the curve of his back, it feels like electricity courses through his veins.

"Here's the damned thing," Starbuck said, ignoring the qubits that danced around her head. Once upon a time, Lee remembered, she would've been annoyed. Wait, no. That's not right. Once upon a time, she couldn't have seen them, and once upon a time he'd thought being dead was more significant than it's turned out to be. "Apotheosis is a piece of crap. We're still stuck in this box while it winds down around us. Trust me, I've looked. There's no hatch leading out.

One of these days it's gonna be cold and dark and it's gonna stay that way for a long, long time."

Lee stretched himself, filling up the space around him for an eon or two just to see what it was like. A few stars were born and a few stars died, but not the same stars; he didn't take that long.

He shrunk back down eventually when he'd thought of an answer. She seemed to like being compact, and she was better at this than he was so he figured he'd follow her lead for a while. That'd usually worked flying. "I think we can fix that," he said. "There's you and there's me, and that seems like a bad way to run a universe."

Kara laughed in his face, just like old times. "You're kinda nuts, you know that?" Her smile was sharp but warmer than any of the suns he could touch. "Always liked that about you."

I don't know if this is what you were looking for, but it's what came to me. :)

They circle the knowledge warily, bristling like a pair of chance-met wolves ('never trust an Elf'; 'why doesn't that surprise me?'). But over time the taunts fade and the hackles settle as an unlikely friendship grows between them. The prison door, once flung open, lets sunlight flood inside, leaving no room for the shadows of the past.

Rex lands beside him at looks at him reproachfully for paying too much attention to Nancy but really he was happy to let them have a night out. It's the least he can do after the hellish year they went through and he's sort of missed the annoying diictodons, they've left his apartment a little neater but also a little quieter.

Edith asks Sybil, watching Mary greet petitioners one day. Sybil smiles, and if she's noticed the same thing about Edith, and about herself, well - there's no one here to defend their happiness to, and so she laughs and goes with Edith to visit the Trees.

There's laughter in Kaidan's voice, but Ashley just stares at him, the innuendo hanging between them for a long moment, until neither of them is sure it was a joke.

Final Fantasy VII, Aeris/Tifa, arts and crafts

Arranging flowers, Aeris insisted, was a craft, the careful balance of a stem here, the flow of a leaf there. She had always loved it when Tifa watched her work; she said it helped her think of new ways to balance space and negative space, whatever that meant.

Tifa's arts flowed along a different line entirely, being more destructive than creative, but she still loved to feel Aeris' eyes on her when she practiced, and she could understand something of pressure bringing out her best performance.
