3 Sentence Ficathon

CaramelSilver isn’t running the awesome 3 sentence ficathon this year, but she said I could do it in her place!!  (Banner courtesy of CaramelSilver and thanks so much!)

What is the 3 Sentence Ficathon?
This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like, as many times as you want.

What do I do?
You post prompts!  When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Only one prompt per comment please.

What else?
You answer other posters' prompts in three sentences (or more if you can't stop yourself) and fill as many prompts as you want, as many times as you wish.  If you see that a prompt you loved has already been filled, go ahead and fill it again!  Multiple fills of the same prompt allowed.

How long can it go? 
CaramelSilver kept the 2011 3 Sentence Ficathon up for a month.  I'd suggest closing it on Sunday, April 7, 2013.  How does that sound? (edit:  If we reach 5,000 comments sooner, I'll start a new one).

Are there any rules about cross-posting?
Nope, you can post wherever you want, whenever you want.  Last year, a lot of folks collected their responses together and posted them on AO3 under the 3 sentence fiction tag.

Gosh who are all these people writing such great prompts and fills?
Good question!  Come to the friending meme and introduce yourself if you like.

As  lady_songsmith explains, for the 2011 3 Sentence Ficathon, grim_lupine created a delicious account to archive the 3 Sentence Ficathon.   lady_songsmith has reactivated the archive on delicious for this challenge, so, here is the account (nothing current added yet, though): https://previous.delicious.com/3sentence She asks that if anyone would be willing to help knock down the backlog of the prolific-ness thus far, let her know!!  (She adds:  I know folks are kinda down on delicious with the changes, but, hey, it's an archive already set up with useful tags!)

On the subject of archiving, I really encourage people to collect and post their fills elsewhere.  That way, we can find your work more easily again, redundancy is always good and it's really useful for future remixes and other challenges and gift exchanges you might participate in. I'll start a linking post so that if you do collect all your fills and post them on your own blog or an archive like AO3, you can give give us the link in comments.

Given recent events, apparently somebody had felt the need to relocate the thing for "safekeeping" (and reprogram it to suit the new surroundings, adding in some racy dialogue, several anatomical enhancements, and a selection of outfits that were anything but suited to combat). The real Commander Shepard clenched her jaw and promised herself that she would not rest until she found the individual responsible and booted them headfirst out the nearest airlock.

When Altair opens his eyes again, nothing of the secret library remains save for the chair he sits upon, still as hard and unforgiving on his back, but there are other things in the vicinity to replace the lost scenery.

The sound of Maria's laughter fits her face, soft in its fondness rather than twisted up in the frown she had spent a great deal of her youthful acquaintance with Altair making, and she motions to the person sitting on Altair's armrest as if to say, Look who's finally awake?

"Safety and peace, brother," says Malik, looking over his shoulder, smiling slow as his left hand curls around the nape of Altair's neck, "Finally, peace."

Mary finds herself drawn up by his side by something unseen that is probably hidden in the deepest part of his dimple. When he moves, she is right behind with her hair sailing out behind her and she is wick with the glory of the motion.

The Spectre's fingers hold on tight to her wrist, turning the white skin pink. Silhouette lets the cuffs fall onto the bedsheets as the Spectre moves into her arms and kisses her, teeth and blood and salt on her bruised lips.

She doesn’t understand how people really work anymore and Mal is entirely the wrong person to teach her. She doesn’t notice when Mal puts his foot in it, but she doesn’t really notice when he awkwardly tries to do something nice for her either. Simon is always watching but he doesn’t intervene and Mal takes that as a sign of something at least.

Some weeks pass and Lafayette begins to feel his optimism fray at the edges, bit by bit until he wakes up one morning and finds himself so very close to giving up.

He is at a lost and does not know what to do, but that night though – that night when he holds back bitter tears and chokes down an entire bottle of wine, he is coherent enough to remember Connor’s soft voice in awe as they sit on a crumbling rooftop together.

“You are right,” Connor breathes, staring over Paris, “France is beautiful.”

Now Ned Stark rots in King's Landing, and his bones have forgotten the promise they once made.

But Jon Snow's eyes are dark as tarns, and the Starks' eyes are pale like their wolves, so he searches everywhere he goes for a woman with the same dark eyes as him.

He never finds her.

He's not at all sure that this is actually the case - he's never given the matter much thought one way or another - but he has to say something, and the gentleman he aspires to be seen as would never say: "Being engaged to you these last hours made me happier, angrier, and more alive than I have felt in a long time, and you are a bloody brilliant kisser. Will you run away with me?"

He just hopes her gift for cutting through subtext doesn't fail him now, because he isn't feeling particularly gentlemanly right now, and she is likely to object to being tossed over his shoulder like a harlequin heroine.

Willow looked up from her packing and stared at the boy—no, he was a man now (or werewolf, really) and she a woman, though she felt terribly like they were still the reckless teenagers that happily roamed the halls of Sunnydale High despite the literal and metaphorical demons that stalked the corridors and classrooms—that dared to see her now, to see the monster she had recently become and was now trying to atone for.

It had been a long, long time since they last met and she thought she'd never see him again but he was here now (though she couldn't figure out how he knew where she was) and that was all that mattered.

"I know," he began and stepping into the room, he wrapped his arms around her and drew her into an embrace that spoke more than words could ever say, "I know, and I understand."
