Well, [personal profile] syrena_of_the_lake wrote I wish I could go with you (The "Leia Shot First" Remix) the fabulous fabulous story of how Luke and Leia the smuggler rescue Prince Han Solo of Corellia (he wears a cape). It's lovely.

Also, Nasimwrites wrote the terrific Acting Accordingly (2459 words) -- it's a lovely, wonderful Not A Problem of Susan story for [personal profile] alexseanchai
And WingedFlight wrote a terrific remix, White Lilies (3330 words) featuring an awesome ace Queen of Narnia for Nasimwrites who had written the amazing secret baby Lucia story To Narnian Ground.

And... I remixed Wingedflight's Casmund AU, Tidings From Beaversdam. Winged had tagged Caspian's purple shirt as a character -- at my suggestion. So I remixed the story, from the point of view of the shirt. I wrote Caspian/Edmund -- from the point of view Caspian's purple shirt. I've obviously lost my mind -- I  mean we're all on severely diminished capacity these days -- stressed and depressed and barely functioning cognitively.  At least that's true of me.  I hope you're doing better.  But I wrote a story with an article of clothing as the main character.  I discovered the Purple Shirt of Sex if an AO3 tag -- I didn't use it as it appears to be specifically related to shirt Cumberbatch wears in Sherlock.

And oh my gosh, I still need to go back and leave a fuller review -- I had to stop for that thing called work. I received the most amazing gift -- a 9K remix of a 3Sf I did reversing Han and Leia in ANH. So, behold Leia the smuggler and Prince Han Solo of Corellia, and an incredibly earnest Luke Skywalker, some really, really good fixes, and just an all-around terrific read. Leia, throughout the story, has "co-pilot" -- that's really the Force guiding her and her immediate connection to Luke is absolutely wonderful.

Summary:Leia should have known better than to pick up a “no questions asked” fare in Mos Eisley. Luke was all right, but no reward was worth the trouble that Prince Han Solo trailed in his wake like a runaway comet.

And then there is this exchange:

“You don’t believe in the Force?” asked Luke. He sounded... sad.

Leia thought of her other copilot, the way she had seen her blasterbolt cross Greedo’s a split second before it happened, and how she had already pulled the lever to dump Jabba’s cargo before the Imperial cruiser had emerged from hyperspace.

“What I believe,” she said carefully, “is that carrying a lightsaber brings more trouble than it’s worth.”

Old Ben smiled ruefully. “And carrying a blaster does not attract trouble?”

Leia decided not to bring up her small collection of thermal detonators. It would only confuse the issue. “We’re coming up on Corellia,” she said instead, half a second before a console light blinked on with the same message. She met Old Ben’s gaze, challenging him to comment. He only smiled, as if he could hear her thoughts.

Rat bastard.

She hoped he’d hear that one.
