Narnia Fic Exchange

Woops.

So, first off, the Narnia Fic Exchange went live with 29 incredibly high quality stories. I received two amazing stories and wrote two related ones that fill out some Golden Age missing bits that also feed into the update I just made to Heart and Crow Make The Peace.
For the NFE, I wrote:

The Doctor Is In ties closely with scenes from TQSiT and is pre-Royal Guard, where the Four deal with their first combat/command losses and Narnia farewells. It then switches to Archenland and unexpected backstory on Queen Helen of Narnia. Mischief and Murder is backstory of Willa and Sallowpad from the Long Winter and then fast forward to post Culinary Diplomacy to the assassination attempts, which in turn leads to the establishment of the Royal Guard in The Palace Guard. Got that? Both stories tie into to the newly begun Heart and Crow Make The Peace. LOL. Oh self.

I received 2 wonderful stories and recommend you go read them and tell the authors how wonderful they are!!

LOL, probably because I received Stranger Things as a gift, an AO3 reader stumbled on my Susan/Obi-Wan crackfic stories, Susan Joins The Rebels series.  This reader accused me of writing Susan as a self insert and why did I have to make the Evil Empire racist?  They later went back to amend the charming comment to say that Susan was OC/self insert.  I don't do well with this type of criticism even after all these years.  I'm still partially blocked from the reader who urged me to stop writing Narnia fic because of my Tumnus story, Flee From Memory and this was years ago.  DLDR and you don't need to tell me.  But but but....  Good goddess if I wanted to write a self-insert, I would write a fucking self insert.  Or, you know, write more Helen Pevensie.  Oh WAIT I DID DO THAT. 
And yes, because Evil Empires are totally not racist!  Palpatine is canonically racist to non-humans! The only person of color in the Empire from 1977 until ANDOR are the canon fodder clones.  Also, space Nazis? 
Anyway, I'm mulling what more to write to this clown other than "Bless my heart, I can't help you if you have no critical thinking skill, imagination, or reading comprehension."

Bah, those kinds of commenters are just... hopeless. And tend to be the kind to dig in their heels when we point out their errors. I hope all the good comments you recieve help mute down the bad ones. Your fic is amazing, and I say that with several decades of critical thinking skill, imagination, and reading comprehension to back it up ;)

Thank you! Against my better judgment and advice of peers, I ended up responding with a smackdown and then froze the comment. This all just makes me so tired. I got another weirdo last night. The vast majority of everyone and everything is lovely. But this. Ugh.

Yeah. Oy indeed. I mean, how dare I inject racism into the Star Wars Palpatine Empire? I believe it took Andor before we saw a woman or POC in the Empire on screen. This was not accidental. When Anakin slaughters the separatists in RotS, every one of them is non-human.
