4 things, no, wait 5

First, back when I concluded H&M, I had intended to post 2 epilogues. I decided against it because I was satisfied with Acceptance of the Terms. But I did have several thousand words of the AU version of it, Rejection of the Terms, Everybody Lives, Nobody Leaves. I was really worried that it was nothing but a vanity project and spewing things you've already read. Some of it you've seen before because I pulled from this draft to write Lost in Translation. Lots of it is new. [personal profile] heliopausa , ruanchuxian0 and [personal profile] syrena_of_the_lake all read it and thought it was OK and not too repetitive, so I polished it up and posted 11,800 words of it. So, I hope you enjoy it. It's on AO3 and FF.net

Second, [personal profile] autumnia pointed me in the direction of this amazing article about a girl who started leaving food for crows and now they bring her gifts.

Third, in addition to the roving llamas here and here (last one set to Born To Run) (and yes, I'm working on a fic about them -- watch this space), and the mysterious colored dress, there was this picture that went viral today of a weasel leaping on to the back of a green woodpecker.

Source and article here.

All of these, btw, have launched fic on the 3 sentence ficathon.  It's winding up this week on Sunday but there's plenty of time to play!!

Last, this all comes to you despite zomg so sick.  I had an emergency root canal on Friday followed by the worst respiratory crud thing I've had in years.  I've missed the last two days of work and we're getting more snow so who knows when I'll make it back in.  Anyway, that is all.  Thank you so much.  If you like the story, I hope you'll let me know.

Also, wasn't Star Wars Rebels FUN?  And Agent Carter?  And isn't Elementary good this season.  And gosh, I bought the hype and went back for the last episode of Sleepy Hollow, and was SO GLAD I DID.  Yes, anything?

I did enjoy the new parts very much! Especially since we see more of characters we've heard about but not seen very much of until now.

Oscars has died down and we're gearing up for the next show (thankfully, not as big and not till April). Other than that, it's been rather depressing between the recent layoffs and those that have quit. There's been on average farewell drinks about once every two weeks since the New Year.

And yes, I am reading "Across the Worlds". Her word count is as much as yours, per chapter. The fic has its ups and downs; I love the prospect of seeing the gang visit or survive different worlds but I'm not much of a fan for the Peter/OFC ship. And some characters from the book turn up in very unexpected ways. There's also Suspian in it, which is tolerable. And she makes Susan awesome; the Gentle Queen is no longer Gentle and is in the leadership role out of everyone.

"Across the Worlds" intrigued me based on the premise and even though there's been a few chapters that totally didn't interest me, I plowed on because I do want to see how the overall story arc will play out. I've already invested so much time in it and it's nearing the end as we've already hit the last big story arc. One little quibble I do have are the grammar/spelling errors; I know it's a long story and there are thousands of words but having a beta would help it along better. But I still read and review each chapter because I know the author put in a lot of work on it.

And yes, I did see Elektrum had updated but the chapters have been so slow moving at the moment that it hasn't really piqued my interest. But I am glad she's still writing it.
