What is the 3 Sentence Ficathon?
This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like, as many times as you want.

What do I do first?
You can start 3SF by posting prompts! When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence.

Only one prompt per comment please. So, for example,

Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't like sand."

Open ended and anthropomorphic fills are popular too, such as:

Any, Any, "I don't like sand."

or

Earth geography, sand, "I don't like humans very much, either."

What else?
You answer other posters' prompts in three sentences (or more if you can't stop yourself) and fill as many prompts as you want, as many times as you wish. If you see that a prompt you loved has already been filled, go ahead and fill it again! Multiple fills of the same prompt are allowed and even encouraged! (We get really fun stories going this way).

Can I still post if I need more than 3 sentences? Or should I just abuse grammar in ways the English language never contemplated?

Can I spread the word?
Yes, please. I generally fail at creating banners and embed codes but if you create one and make it really idiot-proof, I might manage it. Or we can just cross-post. If you create one, I'll try to post it and everyone can use it.

How long will it go?
Until February 29, 2020. But the entry stays open permanently.

Are there any rules about cross-posting?
Nope, you can post wherever you want, whenever you want. A lot of folks collected their responses together and posted them on AO3 under the 3 sentence fiction tag. 3SFs are a terrific prompt for remixes and could be helpful for Yuletide bears, too.

What about spoilers, content and archive warnings, triggers, pairings, ratings, tags, and squick?

I thought a lot about this. It wasn't an issue the last 3 times I ran this. In my experience, this typically gets too big, moves too fast, and the stories are too short for content warnings and ratings to even apply. It is too big for me to moderate in this way. You should assume spoilers are fair game and that the initial poster and the responder have opted to use no content warnings or tags. This means AO3 content warnings for dubcon, violence, canon character death, underage, etc. COULD be present.  I've found personally that I can skim and scroll by stuff that, from the prompt, I can tell isn't my favorite flavor of delicious cake. Use your best judgment and be prepared to skip over things that aren't your thing. In this format, the obligation is on you, the reader, to protect yourself from triggering content.

There was only one bed, but they were lucky there was a bed at all, in this abandoned farmhouse.

"I'll sleep on the floor" Daryl mumbled.

"Daryl, no, we can share, the bed is plenty big enough. Besides, I promise I don't bite" she said giving him a playful wink. Daryl looked down, hunching his shoulders inward, hoping she didn't notice his blush.

"A single was the only one they had available," Eliot growled as both Hardison and Parker smirked.

"Hey, man, all you had to do was say you wanted more 'cuddle time' when we're not on the job," Hardison replied.

Eliot shot murder glares at Hardison, but he didn't say anything as Parker beckoned them both to the bed.

Bruce and Clark squeezed onto the edges of the bed, trying to avoid contact. The third of their triad came out of the adjoining bathroom and beamed.

Dick leaped into the middle of the bed. “This is the best sleepover ever!”

"So," Kyoko begins, shifting awkwardly as she begrudgingly admits to her safe house's one fault while swinging open the bedroom door, "this is the only bed-"

"Dibs!" Sayaka screams as she hurls herself across the room and lands on the bed with a satisfied sigh.

The older girl stares for a moment before stalking away, muttering about finding a sleeping bag or spare blankets, her ears burning while she tries to ignore her disappointment.

Part of her is just mad because it's something she would have done too, Sayaka just beat her to the punch. The other part genuinely wanted to share the bed--better luck next time, Kyoko.

"Clark!" Kara exclaimed when she finally woke up and scooted away from him, getting dressed in a hot second thanks to her superspeed.

"I'm sorry, Kara, there was only the one bed, I should have checked before we stayed here." Clark said as he got out of bed as well but didn't get dressed, in fact he stood there showing off his naked body.

"Okay...uhm... did we have sex?" Kara asked, hoping against hope that they didn't, but even if they did, what kind of repercussions would it have, surely nobody would find out right?

"I really didn't think this night could get any worse," Trevor said, "but as usual, Fate has a way of planting her boot right in my ass."

"This is no happy picnic for me, either," Alucard shifted on the tiny bed, trying to get comfortable; it really was not meant to support two fully grown men, "but will you please shut up about it so we can try to sleep?"

"If you try to cuddle with me, I'll stab you and throw your body out the window."

Alucard rolled his eyes, although it wasn't like Trevor could see him in the dark. "And if you try to cuddle with me, I'll rip out your throat and hang you outside to drain."

"And if the two of you don't quiet down and go to sleep, I'll freeze you both and leave you here until the weather thaws you!" Sypha shouted from the other side of the room. "Now go to sleep!"

Thank you!! <3 (Sypha wakes up and finds Trevor basically asleep on top of Alucard, Alucard with one arm around Trevor's back, indeed rolls her eyes, and then goes downstairs before they wake up because she knows she'll hear the yells from there. XD)

"I'll take the bed, obviously," Peggy said as soon as they opened the door and took in the state of the accommodations.

Jack gave her a look. The bare least she could do was give him an opportunity to offer chivalrously. Given that she wasn't willing to make even that sort of concession, why should he? "I thought you didn't want special consideration on behalf of your sex, Carter."

"Do you want it, then?" she inquired, giving him a challenging look.

"Yes," he said, because he wasn't about to let her win this game.

"Very well, I'm perfectly willing to wrestle for it."

"Er, you're what now."

"First throw wins?" Peggy said, dropping her pack on the floor. "Or best two out of three? I'll have you recall you didn't do well against me the last time."

He knew when he was outmaneuvered. It was a matter of giving in gracefully now, or yielding ingloriously after she pressed his face into the carpet, which incidentally did not look at all clean. "Fine, whatever, I'll sleep in the bathtub."

"You can have the pillow," she said magnanimously.

Before returning to Mirkwood, Legolas stopped by Edoras as he was told that many of the injured in the battle of Helm's Deep were moved there for better treating.

He found Haldir in a large hall with many other elves and men laying everywhere on the floor, on straw, side by side. The marchwarden got lucky enough to have a cushion to lay onto, for the injury on his back was not yet healed and still very sensitive. But the moment he perceived light fingertips running down his shoulder he didn't even open his eyes, already aware of who it was.

"You arrived just on time, my prince. I was dreaming of my chamber in Lothlorien, and the one bed we couldn't help but share last time" he whispered.

Legolas smiled, sat on the floor beside him and hold his hand.
