3 Sentence Ficathon

CaramelSilver isn’t running the awesome 3 sentence ficathon this year, but she said I could do it in her place!!  (Banner courtesy of CaramelSilver and thanks so much!)

What is the 3 Sentence Ficathon?
This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like, as many times as you want.

What do I do?
You post prompts!  When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Only one prompt per comment please.

What else?
You answer other posters' prompts in three sentences (or more if you can't stop yourself) and fill as many prompts as you want, as many times as you wish.  If you see that a prompt you loved has already been filled, go ahead and fill it again!  Multiple fills of the same prompt allowed.

How long can it go? 
CaramelSilver kept the 2011 3 Sentence Ficathon up for a month.  I'd suggest closing it on Sunday, April 7, 2013.  How does that sound? (edit:  If we reach 5,000 comments sooner, I'll start a new one).

Are there any rules about cross-posting?
Nope, you can post wherever you want, whenever you want.  Last year, a lot of folks collected their responses together and posted them on AO3 under the 3 sentence fiction tag.

Gosh who are all these people writing such great prompts and fills?
Good question!  Come to the friending meme and introduce yourself if you like.

As  lady_songsmith explains, for the 2011 3 Sentence Ficathon, grim_lupine created a delicious account to archive the 3 Sentence Ficathon.   lady_songsmith has reactivated the archive on delicious for this challenge, so, here is the account (nothing current added yet, though): https://previous.delicious.com/3sentence She asks that if anyone would be willing to help knock down the backlog of the prolific-ness thus far, let her know!!  (She adds:  I know folks are kinda down on delicious with the changes, but, hey, it's an archive already set up with useful tags!)

On the subject of archiving, I really encourage people to collect and post their fills elsewhere.  That way, we can find your work more easily again, redundancy is always good and it's really useful for future remixes and other challenges and gift exchanges you might participate in. I'll start a linking post so that if you do collect all your fills and post them on your own blog or an archive like AO3, you can give give us the link in comments.

Takumi wonders if that offer, bestowed upon him by Ryousuke-sama himself, was something calculated to exploit his weakness. He isn't certain whether his weakness is people in general or Ryousuke in particular, but he tamps down all of those feelings and strides forward, meek. He is afraid that his aggression will overwhelm him like it did years before, but is even more afraid to not take the chance at all.

He is all feet and firm lines, walking in measured strides, his voice rising and falling with stress and inflection; she is lush with curves, dancing to her own wild pulse, sobbing and laughing with the heartbeat of voiceless humanity. One would not think such a pair could wed. Yet when their hands grope and find each other under cover of inky darkness, their union is a counterpoint like none other, each rising to meet the other's pleasure, rhythms and lines entwining until finally they are one.

Desmond has travelled many places in his mind, although his body has left America only once.

He's probably the only person alive who remembers the stinging scent of Damascus steel as it quenches in a puff of steam, the rosy sheen of the Mona Lisa's freshly painted cheeks, and the exact lyrics of rowdy colonial marching songs.

He stares at the lid of the latest Animus and wishes that he didn't always end up in the same place.

Shaun has always loved history - piecing together the past to better understand the present; to better predict the future. He's spent his life wishing he could go back to those times, to appreciate the beauty of history in the making.

For the first time, he finds out exactly what it means to see history in the making as he turns away from Desmond, knowing he will die, and it isn't the wondrous feeling he'd imagined; it's horrible and painful and terrifying, and suddenly Shaun wants to take back a lot more than his ignorant appreciation of just what it means to be a part of history.

Souji lifts his sword as high as he can, just barely holding on to consciousness. He holds on for Nanako, for the promise within the vial in Kanji's hand that is being run over to him, and even for his own pride. The thing letting him hold onto those intangible things is the ardent belief that Yosuke will be able to save him if the time comes that he truly needs saving.

Ajlksdfjkls you understand Fanny and Henry like no other, and this is exactly why they make such a beautiful harmony of souls - one true, the other passionate, and they bring their own character out in each other.

{sob} Beautiful. You wrote the heartbreak of their love-affair-that-never was so well. The last line was so perfect, so Fanny, so innocent and idealistic and unable to budge even the slightest bit from the truth. I want them both to bend a little (like the song from "Beauty and the Beast" goes, Barely even friends/Then somebody bends unexpectedly) and see the worth in each other's virtues and inspire change where they are weak...and then fall into each other's arms and live happily ever after. Why can't they just do as I say?? :D
