Of Bacchus, wells, pagan marriage rituals, and donkeys

Last year, metonomia  ilysia_039  and I blew up Meto's journal with a comment fic involving Edmund, the Duke of Galma's daughter, and stunted vineyards and how Edmund disliked things that "got in his way."    Fertility rituals involving ancient wells were the result.    The Crack Comment Fic may be found here.

autumnia reminded me of that fic.  And so today, I have been looking for Bacchus and found him and other things at Cline Cellars.  Alas, no Maenads.
