ACCCK!
So, not only have I surpassed Part 1 in Words, Words, Words (ahem, right), TQSiT is approaching 200. To repeat, AACK! Which give how WEIRD this stuff is, says something not easy to interpret about both reader and writer.
In any event, I've been musing a lot on Part 3. As I mentioned in Autumnia's comment, for any who are following enough to remember, back in Part 1, Asim has been dreaming of the Dawn Treader all summer and been dreaming of the girl/woman on the bow for longer than that. Further, in Chapter 3, Later, of TQSiT he is himself impatient to meet Lucy. We know this meeting is coming. Similarly, after Agnes' reading of the Tarot cards in chapter 6, we know that a meeting is coming for Susan as well. He tells Edmund they will meet again. Peter and Asim need to have a long and awkward conversation as well about double lives and deception through omission, pot meet kettle.
I had intended to end TQSiT where it's going to end (August 1942) and then jump ahead 4 years to 1946, which means no further contact between the denizens of the House of Russell and the Pevensies until after the War ends. I am really wondering if I can stick to that plan, particularly given the development of Peter's character in Part 1. Peter left Oxford in a rush, and broke his promise to Richard. As written here, however angry Peter is or remains at Asim, that anger will not keep him from seeing Richard. There are other things too -- things like the fact that given how it's been it written thus far, someone will tell Susan when those tanks arrive in North Africa and that they are pivotal -- which in real life did not happen until September-November 1942.
I'm not sure where this leaves except, likely, some unplanned writing at the front end of Part 3.
