CJ didn't think of herself as a role model to be held up as an example of what a woman in politics could achieve. She thought of herself as a valued member of President Barlet's White House staff, sweating in the trenches and giving it her best effort for a man in whose ideals she believed. If her work made her an inspiration to young woman wanting a career in politics, that was just a byproduct of doing her job well.
