Thank you, I'm really happy you like it. I was originally thinking about using something from the conversation on the Stairs, but then I remembered what Frodo had said about reading things out of the Red Book & keeping alive the memory of the age that is gone. An image of Sam reading the Red Book to his children--in particular, to Elanor-- popped into my head then, and it seemed right to me. I suspect Elanor read the story as many times as I have! :-DDD
