I've got mod status on the nffr lj, I can probably go ahead and make it open posting! It's not super ideal for forum discussion, but having it open for anyone to post either fic or discussion starters, no matter how meta-y or in depth or whatever, I would be so down with that. Can make sure it's anon-posting enabled too, though that opens the door to spammers, so it might be easier to just urge anyone not on lj to make an account even if they'll only use it to nffr
