Cross posting Rat and Sword

FYI, I'm posting Rat and Sword Go To War on ff.net and AO3 where it's been really, really quiet. Oh well.  The feedback on AW 15 has been amazing and I'm thrilled and so grateful for that.

For first time readers, a glossary of terms for Rat and Sword and cast of characters is here (such as, what does RTU mean? and what's a Sten?)

Also, here's a map if you get confused about the geography (and boy did I get challenged on the east, west, right and left flank and I never did quite figure out exactly where the panzer divisions were).

Otherwise I'm puttering around with Remix Madness against my better judgement and really allergies have got me seriously wanting to cut my head off.  Anything exciting with you?

This is making me go all AWWWW but admittedly I've got a soft spot for yellow labs. Our current dog is a reject from an assistance dog program (and oh gosh, if you meet her, you know why).

I think the feedback for "Rat and Sword" will likely be pretty low on those sites, since a lot of people have probably read and reviewed it on the NBB already. (It's also finals time for some, so you're likely to not hear much within the next few weeks.)

Awww... that trailer! So, so cute dogs.

As for me, I've spent the day cleaning and will be watching one of three films later today. I'm currently debating between "The Aviator", "Paper Moon", or the BBC's "Tinker Tailor" from '79. Was really hoping to watch "The Artist" but someone beat me to borrowing it. Ah well. And then it's back to finishing one fic and overhauling my resume. Fun times.

Oh gosh, I remember Paper Moon from a loooong time ago. I've not seen the Aviator. Tinker Tailor is actually a mini series, so it's a couple of nights. It's REALLY different than the film, which I did enjoy. The mini series has a lot of the lines from the book. Finishing fic? Really???? what?! how exciting!

I concur with both autumnia and marbleglove. As for me, I'm not reviewing on ff.net because I already have here. Also because I'm in not-quite-finals-just-yet-so-let's-assign-huge-papers time.

That trailer. I can't. I have no words for the cuteness. I'm sitting here going "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" the entire time.

Good luck with the papers!! Has the timing crushed remix for you?

Thanks! No, actually, that's been my reward for getting work done. I have one posted. Sadly, at about 500 words its more or less my longest fanfic. I wrote a short story for a class and that was up to a few thousand, but fanfic I never write anything longer than a drabble so I'm proud of this.

I hope the allergies get a bit better!

I ended up watching "The Aviator" this afternoon and have just now finished "Paper Moon". It's somewhat disturbing to watch Tatum O'Neal smoking in this film. As for "Aviator", I enjoyed it though I thought it really showed just how eccentric Howard Hughes was, and how his OCD really affected him in his later years. I'm gonna try to get in some of "Tinker Tailor" tomorrow.

I'm nearly done with my Rilian one-shot that I mentioned in my last LJ post, so I'm really, really hoping to finalize it this week and post it up here.
