Almost writing

Seriously, this trying time period can stop right now. Any time. Like now.

But Keep Calm and Carry On as the War Office exhorted. I've been forcing myself to (re-)outline and have found the following to be, while not exactly motivating, at least inspiring.

Hooray for inspiration! I just came across of a lot of old WWII research from a fanfic from ten years ago (going through a ton of old files the past few days... I've kept EVERYTHING and it's time to purge). Ahhh, research!

And I owe you a ton of feedback for your last few pieces you just put out... I promise I'll get to 'em!

I do lose things -- which is why I started cross posting to different archives because so much of my early fic is lost to private archives going down and disappearing. And I don't even remember my old pseudos! I need to figure out how to cross post the Jess_in_Time thing -- but that will involve some serious html work and I really am bad at that sort of thing. Old you know. Very, very, very old.

The stuff I came across were all HARD COPIES. Photocopies made from books from libraries of universities past... of 1940s Sears catalogs and ground plans of craftsman homes. Mixed in with college papers, postcards, birthday cards... what a mess. I kept EVERYTHING.

I did come across an old Harry Potter fanfic that I wrote that I thankfully printed out...I always wondered what happened to that thing. I do want to say it was on a private archive at one point, but like you said, wherever it was, it's disappeared. This is just a rough draft, but it may be worth dusting off and reworking.

It's a shame how much has been lost in interwebz past...it's all got to be out there somewhere, right? But yes to cross-posting. I'm on the waiting list of AO3 for that very reason.

It's spring Down Under, and in my part of Down Under, we have a big annual flower festival called Floriade. Imagine my delight when I discovered that the Australian War Memorial has put together a WWII Victory Garden as one of the displays. I've taken some pictures which are coming, but in the meantime: links!

Those are awesome! I am so curious what was planted in a victory garden besides carrots which show up in everything! The climate of Australia is so different from the UK, too.

I have a bright red Keep Calm and Carry On ready to be stuck on the inside of my door. It's quite useful as a mantra, really.
