In progress
So, FYI, yes, I am writing. Yes, it is Harold and Morgan. Yes, it is a LOT of H&M and very nearly the entire story. I'd sort of hoped I might post it all on April 15, US Tax Day, but that's not going to happen. I have lots of years 3 and 4 done, but need to write more of year 2 in the Lone Islands other than the Two Hearts Day piece. So, I could skip year 2 and post 3 and 4? Or not? Do I post it as part of the H&M greater story on ff.net, or just over here? I'm actually cutting and pasting too, as key parts of H&M are scattered all over different stories, so I'm putting in one place, in the right order, the whole of the H&M story. Which means some of it is old and tweaked, and some of it is new. Got that? Do you care how this is presented? In what order? Where?
So, from Year 3, tentatively titled (yes, you know it's coming) Keen for a Hound, I have:
“You intend to take my shirt to the Lone Islands?”
“Everything else is packed,” Morgan said, though her words were muffled as she was pulling said shirt over her head. “And I like your clothes. And you like me in your clothes.”
Edmund propped himself up on his elbows to enjoy the view, so to speak. He never tired of seeing Morgan, naked, in his rooms. Though if she was to wear anything, she was correct that his preference was for her to wear his shirt alone.
“This means you’ll take my trousers as well?”

Oh, I forgot to tell you- I had a Narnia dream about a week ago. The Pevensies and me and one of my friends got kidnapped into some other world by a large Texan who wanted more slaves; he had Susan and my friend Lauren dancing for him while he sat around like Jabba the Hut, Edmund was off somewhere doing something important, Lucy was leading a workers' revolt, and Peter was trying to plan an attack with an army he'd raised while Tebbitt was saying something like "Bet it would have been handy if you'd ever seen a battle, wouldn't it?" which was making Peter both annoyed and slightly amused.
Your OCs have officially invaded my subconscious.

As I recall, Tebbitt was uniformed, fairly tall (or at least taller than Peter, who was still growing up to what he probably thinks of as his normal size, though he was growing a bit wider in the shoulders faster than growing in height), not skinny but certainly on the lighter side, brown hair, a sort of longish face but certainly not unattractive, and a tendency to smirk and look a bit superior at people. I was mostly focused on not being awoken by the alarm at that point, though. :P

I'm not usually very good in fiction with visuals either... I sometimes cast people anyway, but I can never really remember, it just all is insignificant. Weirdly, though, I have a visual memory for text-based things.

I don't have a strong opinion about posting order or location. I just want the chance to read what you write.

And I like the snippet :D

I'm not so picky as the order in which H&M. Your writing is a bit of an addiction to me, so, like a junkie, I will take what I get whenever I can get it xD

I just like how you handle sensuality in the Stone Gryphon 'verse in general. It's there but it's not overpowering and each character has their own...thisness? with it.

(Anonymous) 2011-04-10 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)Harold and Morgan, yesyesyesyesyes !
I badly want to know what happens in the Lone Islands, and I usually prefer things in chronological orders, but, honestly, as long as you give us something, everything's fine. I don't mind having year 3 and 4 before year 2, as long as I can dive into their story again :-)
As for the "where", I like ff.net, but, as I said, as long as I can read it... I don't really care ^^
I love the extract. Six lines, but it is so much THEM xD
So you know what ? Thank you :-P

(Anonymous) 2011-04-10 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)Also, as an aside, an opportunity has just arisen for me to go visit a friend who lives in Oxford. Thanks to your fic, my mission will be to find a way to visit the Museum of Natural History and picture all your characters running around doing exciting things in their proper environment. All while remaining an undercover fan.
Thanks!

I hope you have a fabulous time!

As for posting order, I don't mind whatever way you end up choosing to post it. Since I've read it as you posted about them, I'm used to reading it out of order and bits and pieces.
(And to intrikate's dream and your comments -- Tebbitt looking like Edward Cullen? Never! I always thought him a bit more like Roald Dahl on the cover of "The Irregulars"; actually, I do have some sort of vision of him in my head but I can't describe it very well.)

(Anonymous) 2011-04-11 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)I'll be happy to read and review whatever you post and whenever/wherever you post it. Is it sad that I look forward to allergy season, which is awful for some people, and tax day, which is awful for everyone, because it means a return to H&M? Oh, and Jina! You're going to write about Jina! I should probably get my tissues ready now. Will we see more of Morgan's father? (I'll stop pestering you with questions now). Can't wait!
