Season 6, Episode 1 of the Expanse dropped. Oi. So INTENSE.
Make sure you hit on the Amazon Xray during the credits because they have a short, entitled Ankawala, subtitled "One Ship." It will hit you right in the feels. Apparently there will be one with each episode. The show has really leaned into that ship over the last couple of seasons and it's just such a terrific take.
I was worried what they were going to do regarding the pilot of the Roci (our girl looks really beat up) and was glad we didn't get Bull and was surprised it wasn't Peaches. And Filip is really falling apart, just as Naomi said he would. As a book reader and TV watcher, I was interested that both Rosenfeld Guoliang and Nico Sanjrani were cast as not male. The did the same with Karal last season
and Lucia's storyline from Season 4 was originally her husband's in the book. The show takes parts from males in the book A LOT.
Edit to add that the actor who plays Nico Sanjrani, Jo Vannicola, stated the role is specifically nonbinary. Not sure if they decided to write it as nonbinary and looked for an actor who was or found the actor and built the role. With Erich last season, the character is written as disabled in the book and they found a stupendous disabled actor and didn't green screen it. I just love this show.
And from the title Strange Dogs, I wasn't surprised to see Cara introduced but oof. (I just finished Leviathan Falls, so.... yeah, If you want to talk about it, respond in comments! OOF. And poor Michio. I just love her in the TV series. She's so different from the same character in the book and I really love her.
I was watching with Larm and WingedFlight and Larm now ships Bobbie/Monica.
And they know that the Martian ship "went Dutchman!"
