snacky  is hosting a prompt fest for Narnia M and E rated fic, Narnia After Dark Spring Bacchanal Prompt Meme 2021
Prompts are open until the end of the month and 500 word fills are due April 17.  So check it out!  Somewhere in my long era of fic writing I seemed to have lost the ability to do M rated fic but if there is something you would like me to try, prompt it!  I'm finding it much, much easier these days to write to specific prompts. 

The prompt fest is very much in the spirit of packing up your toys and going and playing in a different backyard after two of us were both banned from a Tumblr Narnia fic thing for demonstrating support for Lucy/Caspian because???  reason?  something something inappropriate age difference?  But Casmund was fine, to be clear, it was only Lucian that was problematic.   In my case, I'd not even signed up for that pairing or asked for it but the mods rooted through my Tumblr posts and determined that I had failed to condemn this ship, ergo, I was unsafe.  So, uhm, sure.  Your comm, your rules, but hence the Spring Bacchanal.  As snacky emphasizes in the post announcing the prompt fest, no judgement! YKNMKBTOK (your kink not my kink but that's OK)

Kind of like me finding out I was rejected for a 'zine because I shipped a het pairing with a perceived age gap... but the male slash ones with worse were in the 'zine.

Purity culture is so weird.

I hope they have fun with the fest; I seem to have trouble with writing M-Rated fics in general of late, and Narnia nearly all the time.

Exactly. The slash pairings are fine. It's only the het one that somehow was problemmatic. And yeah, there is nothing less alluring and sexy than a pandemic. But if you would LIKE something, by all means prompt!

psst. me either. There was a time, sure. But now, I just can't get over the self consciousness and the feeling that I just really suck at it.

Wish I wrote explicit fic, but, well, I don't. I just don't find it that interesting and it shows when I try!
