Whether due to poor planning, poor forethought, or poor understanding of human fickleness and competitiveness (or all of the above), the southern territory wasn’t split quite neatly down the middle when it was decided that Feng Xin and Mu Qing would share it, and as a result, over the many centuries, there were quite a number of squabbles.
Not from Feng Xin and Mu Qing though (usually) – they couldn’t care less which border town worshiped whom – but now they really wished their followers could hurry up and decide and stop sabotaging each other (even if it was usually funny), if only so his Highness Xie Lian would stop looking like he was about to make all of them train idioms to settle it.
(It had been 800 years - Feng Xin and Mu Qing were horrifically out of practice and didn't dare let the other know it.)
