No pleasures are guilty. I know that when I read this book, and re-read and re-read it, I never ever thought of pairings. Ever. But now. I love how you captured the warmth of Dickon's style of speech and insight -- how he compares Colin to the delicate bloom and Mary as the thing that supports him and Dickon himself as the thing that flits between them. Ahh gorgeous. I may prompt this more if you don't mind.
