It's a chicken salad sandwich kind of day

How are you coping?  I ordered a chicken salad sandwich for lunch.  My comfort food.  There may be peanut butter cookies later.  or something with caramel.  And tonight I'll watch episodes of GBBO or Fat Salt Acid Heat on Netflix and work up a sweat on the treadmill.  And I'll pet the dog a lot.

I hope you are doing OK.  take care of yourselves today.  I am thinking of you and think you're amazing and awesome.

I am coping by trying to not watch the news all day. Just randomly checking in from time to time and keeping very very low expectations and not trusting the any numbers from polls at the moment.

Plus, bingeing some non-political videos on Youtube and having chocolate cookies later. Hope you're holding up well!

Another friend called it a blue wave with an angry red riptide, or something like that. And yes, that describes it. I'm thrilled with so many outcomes. But ugh. I wish we'd gotten one of the big ones, too.

I went out with my ladies to a bar that had the election results on, and I think we all chose to eat steak, frites, and salad. That's self-care, right there.

wonderfully marvelous self care. I ate 3 Take 5 candy bars, worked out for 45 minutes and watched baking shows. And continually pet the very demanding Corgi. It's a mixed bag all in all. There are HUGE wins, enormously significant ones. OMG Scott Walker is GONE. KOBACH WILL NOT BE GOVERNOR. So many women, so many women of color. And Beto had very, very long coattails in Texas, with huge sweeps in state offices. Republicans no longer have a super majority in NC. There were some congress critters I really hoped we'd never see again. And some of them, we won't. But the Senate is ugly.
