In other news REMIX IS BACK ON AND HALFAMOON

Two signal boosts!

The terrific pan-fandom Remix Redux 2014 will is on.  I am thrilled and so grateful to the admins for picking it up again.
And Halfamoon, 14 days of celebrating women is open as well, on LJ and DW  So go post your awesome ladies recs, content, and meta!  I have found some of my favorite fem-oriented vids there, so go forth and rec and link!  (I'll be adding some Narnia recs in a bit).

I still need one more 1000 word story to qualify for Remix in Narnia. "To the Least of These" is only about 800 words, so it doesn't get me there, and "Changeling" is a crossover and so doesn't count.

I've got two Narnia stories started that I haven't touched in months. One of them, I haven't found the right angle on and need to try again. The other is broken. I think I know how to fix it, but I need to start it over again.

I am pretty sure the rules only require 500-word stories, not 1000-word stories. Hang on, let me go check.

Okay, here are the requirements from 2012:

1. at least 5 500-word permitted stories in that fandom, or
2. at least 7 100-word permitted stories in that fandom, or
3. some combination of the above (I.E.) 4 500-word permitted stories and 3 100-word permitted stories in that fandom

You cannot count:

1. crossovers
2. works in progress
3. any previous remixes you've written (for any remix challenge)
4. co-written stories, unless you and your co-writer have signed up together as a single participant
5. your safe story

So an 800-word story fills the requirements and you are good to go! (I mean, assuming Narnia is a qualifying fandom again this year, obviously.)

Thanks! I could have sworn it was five stories of at least 1000 words. I never thought to check. I think I just have 1000 words stuck in my head because so many exchanges use that as the minimum length.
