3 Sentence Ficathon Part 2!!!

THREE SENTENCE FICATHON IS NOW CLOSED.  REALLY.  REALLY AND TRULY OVER.  RIGHT NOW.  UNTIL NEXT YEAR.  REALLY.  GO FORTH AND WRITE MORE FIC WITHOUT LIMITING IT TO 3 (OK SOMETIMES MORE) SENTENCES!  FREE THE PLOT BUNNIES!  WRITE EPIC SUSAN/MAGLOR!  EXPRESS YOUR RICHARD III FEELS IN HAIKU!  REMEMBER IT'S ALWAYS BETTER WITH DRAGONS!  OR BACCHUS!  TELL US ABOUT CASSANDRA AND PENELOPE, CLEOPATRA AND CLYTEMNESTRA!  IN FIC!

I'm not going to close the post to comments because already filled-prompts deserve love and attention.  If someone wanders in and fills a prompt or offers a new one, that's cool and I'm not going to go all stompy boots.  This has been awesome and my thanks to all of you for a great exchange.  I'll certainly host this again next year!

3 Sentence Ficathon Banner

Wow.  Well, the votes are in and after almost 5,000 prompts, fills and comments, I decided to start a new post that will carry us through the conclusion of the 3 Sentence Ficathon which will conclude on April 7, 2013.

We have lots and lots of unfilled prompts still.  So, if you posted or saw a prompt you really would love to see filled, please post again here in the new thread and hopefully someone will give you an awesome fill!   Please continue to commented upon filled prompts and thank authors, but all new prompts and fills should come  here.

My thanks to everyone for the incredible participation.  Interest has flagged the last couple of days and I'm not sure if it's just that 4900 comments and 49 pages is just too daunting or if everyone has run out of ideas.  With a new thread, maybe this will make it easier for people to navigate it again, or maybe everyone is off on Spring Break!

To recap:

What is the 3 Sentence Ficathon?
This all started with the lovely CaramelSilver (Banner courtesy of CaramelSilver and thanks so much!).  This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like, as many times as you want.

What do I do?
You post prompts!  When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Only one prompt per comment please.

What else?
You answer other posters' prompts in three sentences (or more if you can't stop yourself) and fill as many prompts as you want, as many times as you wish.  If you see that a prompt you loved has already been filled, go ahead and fill it again!  Multiple fills of the same prompt allowed.

I'm not a member of Dreamwidth
No problem.  You can comment anonymously or through open ID

Can anyone play?
Yes!  Please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

I'm cross-posting to LJ but we will keep all prompts and fills here, so they are in one awesome place (and with less spam).

Here's a link for spreading the word to all your friends and comms (thanks [personal profile] snacky !)

And thanks to Metonomia for the spiffy icon!

How long can it go?
The 2013 3 Sentence Ficathon will close on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

Are there any rules about cross-posting?

Nope, you can post wherever you want, whenever you want.  Last year, a lot of folks collected their responses together and posted them on AO3 under the 3 sentence fiction tag.

[personal profile] lady_songsmith has reactivated the archive on delicious for this challenge, https://previous.delicious.com/3sentence She asks that if anyone would be willing to help knock down the backlog of the prolific-ness thus far, let her know!!  (She adds:  I know folks are kinda down on delicious with the changes, but, hey, it's an archive already set up with useful tags!)

Gosh who are all these people writing such great prompts and fills?
Good question!  Come to the friending meme and introduce yourself if you like.

On the subject of archiving, I really encourage people to collect and post their fills elsewhere.  That way, we can find your work more easily again, redundancy is always good and it's really useful for future remixes and other challenges and gift exchanges you might participate in. I'll start a linking post so that if you do collect all your fills and post them on your own blog or an archive like AO3, you can give give us the link in comments.

[Assassin's Creed 3, William Johnson/Charles Lee/Haytham Kenway/John Pitcairn/Thomas Hickey. Sorry, I know that's five, but poor Pitcairn is always getting left out, I just had to add him.]

"Was that- initiation?" Charles asks, rather breathlessly, marvelling at the pile of bare, sweaty, sated bodies tangled up with each other atop the inn room bed, himself half-pinned between William Johnson and Master Kenway and half-pinning his Grandmaster against John Pitcairn in turn. Sprawled lazily over them all, Hickey suggests that Charles leave the Order and then rejoin in the morning so that the initiation ceremony can be repeated.

"Or," says Master Kenway, stretching unselfconsciously against Charles in the cradle formed by their dozing brothers' bodies, "you could remain, and we could call what comes in the morning an exercise in team spirit."

"You know," Jake remarked much later, "while I can't look back on that trickster interlude without feeling a complete ass, I sometimes wonder if our mad selves might not have had one decent idea in a sea of... of..." -- "Disney acid sequence?" "Horror?" "Complete bullshit?" Roxy, Jane, and Dirk offered, respectively, dropping words into Jake's flailing hands in hope that some might fit -- "of complete bullshit, yes, thank you, Strider."

Jane's stomach roiled at the memory of the things she'd said and done under the influence of Calliope's juju -- it had been a horror story, in her view; losing control of herself had always been a recurring nightmare, even before the game -- but she couldn't help asking: "That idea being?"

"Romantic angst is poppycock; instead, we should stop worrying about couples and boyfriends and whatnot and just all have sex together," Jake proclaimed, throwing his arms over Dirk's and Roxy's shoulders and beaming as if he'd found the answer to the ultimate riddle.

Jane facepalmed, but a treacherous part of her mind couldn't help wondering about logistics.
