Nothing to see here, move along

Taking a cue from [livejournal.com profile] snacky, who posted some things yesterday in advance of the Remix 10, I'll be putting some old things up on ff.net.  Last year, I wrote Carrying out my design to shatter the enemies, which was a remix of the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] metonomia 's She Maintained This Estate and received from the wonderful Caleon a remix of the The Palace Guard, Always On The Guard.  I'm not sure if I'll participate this year or not -- Carrying out my design has been really popular on AO3 along with my Temeraire cross, so go figure.  And Big Bang and Harold and Morgan, right?  right?

So far, I've put up an old Polly Plummer & River Song story, Out of Place and the first part, which is the best standalone, of
The Horse and his boy,  the Mare and her girl, Rat, Cat and Trickster.  I've got a lot of other things I could put up -- all pasted together it was over 25,000 words.  Oh self.  If you want to drop a line or a review, lovely, but it's not new content, though maybe it's new to you.

This is all of course to procrastinate on my Big Bang which is going sooo slowly.  I've received one lovely poem from [livejournal.com profile] lotl101 (thank you!) and something from clio for Asim to share with Mrs. Caspian, but seriously, if you are yearning to have Tebbitt write Susan a poem that she can use to send secret messages via Morse code from occupied France, now is your chance.  I am just not that romantic.

You are quite welcome! Just let me know if there's anything needing fixing or anything. I can't wait to see the Big Bang. Productive procrastination is the best sort (also how you got that poem from me). The Trickster bit was great, but I think I already reviewed that (I know I read it) so I'm not going to expound greatly on how amazing it was.

I have the best of intentions when it comes to keeping my ff.net stories up to date, then I bink and somehow my LJ masterlist is a lot longer than my ff.net one. Meh. Organisational fail.

Anyway, I'm going to have to do some fic reading it seems when I have the chance :D

Oi. Big Bang. 30,000 and counting... Thanks again so much for the poem.

The Gentle Queen of Narnia was accustomed to all manner of uncomfortable transport – horses with bouncing gaits, swaying donkeys and mules, galleons, boats and dugouts, Gryphon, Giant, carts, and chariots. Crossing the Channel by the light of the moon in a gutted Lysander ranked among the very worse. Tebbitt had warned her and so she had stuffed softened wax in her ears but it was so very loud. Surely a glider would be better than this insufferable roar.

She was sitting on top of her little suitcase, her weapons were strapped and belted all over her body, and her knees were under her chin. How people did this with one man piloting the Lizzie and two passengers she could not imagine. She felt them descend, lower. Pressing her nose up against the glass she could just make out the silver strip of the beaches of the Normandy coast. The pilot would bring them in low, under Nazi radar.

She took a deep breath and let it out and the country of France began to pass beneath them. Aslan, your daughter is ready. Your will, not mine.

They're the comment_fics from my LJ - I always forget to crosspost those.

Just read Carrying out my design to shatter the enemies. Oddly I was listening to Gunpowder and Lead yesterday and trying to make a 'show them what girls are made of playlist', so yeah, I was in the mood for this :)

I saw your What Little Girls are Made of playlist and I did a remix with that as the title!! It's on AO3 and trigger warnings so definitely not for everyone but I thought it was funny when I saw your post. I love that multifandom vid you posted. There's another one done the same year for the [livejournal.com profile] halfamoon February celebration by calapine,

And this one by the superlative [livejournal.com profile] kaydeefalls

Oh, these are fantastic! Possibly the best use of a Green Day ever.

Have you seen this one, Tightrope by such_heights? 'Tis also fantastic. I have a thing for multifandom women vids :)

And I didn't realise, but apparently that was also for this halfamoon, which I haven't explored. at first flip through I like this Susan fanvid. More exploring needed...

I love the multifandom women's vides too and Such Heights, Calapine and kaydeefalls always produce wonderful ones. And since we are moving into February, we can expect more multi-fandom women's vids for halfamoon! YEAH!!! Oh, in 2009 Such Heights also did Glorious for halfamoon. Another great one -- http://such-heights.livejournal.com/158009.html

Oooo! I love it! The bit with the noise and using wax to block it out has all sorts of Odyssey things going through my head and that has me so happy. Also, the image of the refined Susan the Gentle sitting on her suite case with her legs up under her chin is so wonderfully strangely opposite her normal composure. It gives her a sense of childhood she's not had since she stepped through the wardrobe.

If there is still time I will work on a sonnet. Tebbit will have to send it in installments, I think. By the way, I have been rereading Everything of yours, yes witha a capital letter, on the bus each day and cannot think of a more enjoyable commute. You write such amazing stories, really I am quite jealous! So I shall attempt to craft a poem that's up to snuff.

I read Out of Place and the Trickster story on FF and commented on them - I shall have to read "Carrying Out my Design" at some point. Oh, for a week at a B & B with lots of tea and scones and no RL distractions...

The Trickster tale and Out of Place were both marvelous - I even loved River Song, and I haven't met her yet outside of the Narnia/Who crossovers!
