Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun with the story. It was for femgen so I wanted to be sure to keep it as gen. There are a lot of first meeting fics out there, and some involving job postings, I think. The evolution/homo-reptilia gave an opening that would provided Jenny with some background/confidence -- some reason for her interest, I guess. Vastra is a very powerful character and it would take a person of some substance to put up with her (the jokes notwithstanding!) So thank you for reading and I'm so glad the story worked for you!
