And that I imagine Lucy, for all her experience with things fantastic, was *not* expecting that one. I know I wasn't, as I was reading too fast to try to deconstruct the latin.

BTW, if one was to start watching Dr. Who, would you (or anyone else reading this) recommend just starting with the modern series (9th Doctor, it would appear) or starting with selections from the original series to lay the groundwork?
