STOP ME NOW.... I did not assume that it was necessarily only the High King... I have not thought it out, admittedly. I've thought it's some very old ceremony, done with each successive monarch, male or female, and if Peter did it, the others did not have to do so, but presumably could if they wished. I did not think it was what made him High King, but something separate.
