Yes! Linneasr, you've found the word I wanted exactly. Deliberate. There is no impulse to this, but a fully conscious decision, with the end probably in sight at the beginning (full disclosure of the terms, or something like that). A sea voyage is a possibility - might they have to go to Seven Isles or somewhere to look over some part of the Narnian account? Or is there a reason that the Director might have to come to Cair (hello, Peter). Either way, he's the CEO of his business, so I would think that any time he goes off, it's automatically time limited. Oh, and the idea that he's been Director and Linch so long that even he doesn't really remember his name is hysterical!!!
