By the way; I was wondering... In the same chapter there was much about "British maneuver" of pretending not to see when someone does something he shouldn't do. Was it intentionally exaggerated to emphasize differences between British and Americans? I mean - could it really not be practiced in USA? Or am I showing my European bias now?
