As for Richard and Mary, I think it'd be fine if you leave them out. We did get Mary in the last chapter (though with Eustace) and had quite a bit of Richard in the one before that.

And I'm always interested in memes and that sort of thing, so that's a Yes vote from here! :-) I don't think I'll be doing a holiday fic, though I had been thinking about some ideas for it. And a meme might be easier to play with for the holidays.
