it's so delightful to see this side of gertrude, the one who likes to drive fast with her hair windswept and wild, and i can feel claudius's delight at being the one who gets to witness it, the one she trusts with her request. i love the connection between driving gloves and gardening gloves and all the ways they've been there for each other and noticed things about each other.
