aaah gertrude, she’s so clearly spiraling, but everything she’s saying makes sense to her and how she sees her place in the world, used goods, easily cast off. and claudius offering to fight anyone who tells her she’s not a good queen is so charming, and a little bit sad with the aside that no, that’s not really how he defeated his brother in the end (but he did, they’re free now, and if she wants a place he’ll give it to her, he didn’t dare back then but he’s daring now).
