Fa Mulan is a Hero of China, a woman with the medal, the sword of Shan-Yu, and the General who had fallen for her first as Ping. She should be satisfied with having achieved more in her life than most men or women. Yet, with each passing day, it becomes clearer to her that she cannot stand as the sole woman who has achieved these things, and so she begins a school to train women who will be smart and strong and beautiful all at the same time, instead of demanding they choose only one and hope they find a match.
