its really fun coming up with different temptations for various people. I figure eventually the local human population would be too jaded to pay any attention to the sirens so eventually an understanding is reached. im sure they'd be intrigued by human takes on seafood, but landlocked delicacies are the real novelties. did you know humans supposedly taste like pork or veal? Totally unrelated fact! :)))

yeah i was reminded of the new translation and that twitter thread. i did check on the sources, of course, and indeed the sirens do talk about giving odysseus knowledge. so between that and the inspirational tumblr post i thought, okay, theres definitely a lot of info that people would rush to have!
