The skyscraper heels certainly made Sephiroth look - and feel, if he didn't think about it too hard - like a towering goddess whose every step struck sparks, but he still hadn't figured out the trick of walking in them, and his feet had discovered new definitions of pain and suffering by the time the shiny dark-red executive vehicle found him.

Aeris leaned out of the driver's side window, proudly sporting a pair of expensive sunglasses. "Hey, hot stuff," she grinned, "need a ride?"

"Only if you're looking for a good time," Sephiroth answered, utterly deadpan, and as Aeris nearly hit her head on the steering wheel laughing he circled around the vehicle and slid into the passenger seat. "Did you steal this from the executive garage?"

"You don't recognize it?" Sephiroth shook his head. "This is the President's personal vehicle. Well, one of them. Also his sunglasses." Aeris tipped them down her nose at him.

"That explains why they're too big for your face," Sephiroth answered, strapping himself in, and Aeris giggled again. "Should I ask where you learned to hotwire cars?"

"Please, hotwiring is criminal behavior," Aeris said primly. "...I stole the keys out of the driver's pocket."

"Ah, yes, perfectly understandable. Should we switch?" Sephiroth asked. "You're still on your learner's permit."

"And I'm allowed to drive with a licensed driver with me, which you are, so it's fine!" Aeris rejoindered. "Besides, you've been doing the hard part. Let me take care of the rest."

Sephiroth had to concede the point - an hour of poledancing to keep a gaggle of drunken executives too entertained to notice Aeris slow-fading out of their grasp had worn him out like days' worth of monster hunting never had, and Aeris was a careful driver despite her age. "Very well," he allowed, and bent to start undoing the buckle on his heels. "But once we pick up Zack and Cloud, we rotate drivers."

"You got it," Aeris said cheerfully, and checked her side mirror before pulling out onto the road.
