I'd been an overhead observer to the Autobots' trials and tribulations for so long that it honestly slipped my mind, as it seemed to have slipped Bumblebee's; no one even so much as gestured to me when Optimus Prime joined up with the rest, and when I transmitted my tactical directions through Teletraan-X's interface, Optimus Prime followed them without a whisper of protest.

Which was why I was as surprised as he was when Optimus Prime glanced up casually, did an absolutely cinematic doubletake, and demanded, "How long has THAT been up there?"

"Uhh... a while?" Bumblebee admitted sheepishly, and Optimus covered his optics and muttered an apology to me, which I assured him wasn't necessary; I still didn't fully know what was going on, but it seemed like - to say the least - he had a lot on his mind.

(i may revisit this, the TF:BG self-insert is practically canon so it feels like cheating >_>)
