Hawthorne isn't like other cats, something Rowan is endlessly thankful for, but he can be just as annoying as one sometimes.

"Is there any for me, Mistress?" he asks and doesn't wait for an answer before he swipes a blackberry with his paw and stuffs it in his mouth.

"Classy," Rowan snorts and pats him on the head. "You little demon."

Hawthorne purrs. "A witch has the familiar they deserve."
