Nine million years before he would awaken on an alien world to fight the final battles in a war that would decide Cybertron's fate, Megatron walked into a ballroom filled with the most powerful people on Cybertron and prepared to make them his followers.
Captains of industry - senators - celebrities - and the Winglord of Vos, making interested optics at him from across the room. Megatron tossed aside his fancy cape and strode into the fray. The evening turned into a blur of empty promises and turbowolf smiles, mechs hungry for power happy to promise anything if Megatron would provide it. Fools, Megatron thought, smiling.
But as many tiresome old wrecks Megatron met that day, it was worth it to find the few mechs who were of a similar mind, who understood that the power structures of Cybertron needed to be restructured, centralized - the Winglord, with an army at his command, chief among them.
They were eager to bring Megatron's vision into reality. Megatron was eager to use them.
