"The bold," says Odysseus, eyes gleaming even as gray begins to touch his hair.

"The worthy," ventures Telemachus, who--if nothing else--has at least learned from his father's misadventures to mind his words.

"Those that survive to tell the tale," murmurs Penelope, and smiles when she hears the goddess' laughter.
