Yes! I figure Aleksander would be brought to her as a threat, but ironically they both keep their canon personalities, where Aleksander is more ambitious and power hungry, while Alina just wants to escape into obscurity--it's just more complicated by the fact that she's now the one with more authority, and unfortunately, also the one hated and feared by most everyone else :/
