Not gonna lie, I spent about an hour and a half trying to come up with a song and almost gave up at one point *laughs*. I totally agree that "Stay" is an unexpected choice, but ultimately, I think that's why it worked for me? The song could not be so obvious (by Jess' standards) that Jess would be unimpressed by it, but it couldn't be so outré that he'd be put off; it also had to have something to do with them specifically, or he'd be offended by the generic ~romance~ of it.

Anyway. I'll leave the rambling to Rory. Suffice it to say that I had a lot of fun writing with this (I know jack shit about Beat writers, but music is def my jam), and it fills me with joy that you like what I came up with <3
