Sam informed him that it was important to mark those occasions on which something momentous had occurred, so Castiel placed a special order with the bakery that Dean preferred, and he presented the cake – with its meticulously rendered marshmallow fondant decoration of his handprint – after dinner with a flourish and a heartfelt, "Happy Getting Rescued From Hell Day!"

Dean looked from the cake to him and back to the cake, head cocked and one eyebrow raised in that way that Castiel absolutely did not think was sexy, before he reached out and swiped one finger across the chocolate frosting.

"You're weird, Cas," Dean said. "I like that about you."
