Beth kept her eyes down and her mouth shut (unless she was singing), taking care of the baby and doing her chores and minding her own beeswax. Then the prison fell and she was tired and lonely and wasn't going to spend another day eating mud snake; then there were fighting lessons and long talks and moonshine and standing back to back with Daryl while the zombies closed in and feeling alive like she never felt before. Guess she wasn't supposed to be a background character after all.
