The line about the water and earth calling her back is so beautiful! The whole way Peter describes the relationship, as something cherished but ephemeral even while he was in it...it's both very Narnian and very Peter, in particular. It isn't his way to cling to things, is it. And the bark on his pillow!! I knew you'd do a beautiful job with this one, thank you for proving me right.
