The History Tellers have libraries worth of stories written on their bodies and singing on their tongues, but there are frequently reoccurring characters in many of their shared tales. The Road Warrior, the one who appears in the darkest hours of tales to help right wrongs even at his own expense, is incredibly common, but there's a few other standouts.

It's said that Canis Major frequently joins his side as he travels the starry back roads on his journeys, returning to his master again and again. Furiosa, the maimed leader, has catalogues of stories about, mostly about defending her lands from outsiders and welcoming refugees, but there's a surprising amount that declare her the Road Warrior's wife and that he's the one who brings the refugees to her green hills. There is the Wives, ladies under the Furiosa's care who stitch back the broken, feed the hungry, and who dig their hands into the dirt to make the green hills verdant and lush.

They all serve similar functions; they bring justice to the lawless, hope to the broken, and rallying cry for those who still ride the back roads, looking for something greater than the fight for water and guzzolene.
