I really wanted to drag in the fallout of the battle just pre-climax too, when Irene is riding in the fog, but I figured that might be one prayer to save Gen too much *laughs* Poor Irene; for such a surprisingly upbeat book (given the bloodbath I feared it was going to be), she really goes through it, doesn't she?
