When she was a child, she would dream of a boy, golden-haired and sun-kissed; her shadow self, who showed her all kinds of things Alderaan never had: dunes and sand, banthas, pod-races zooming over her head.

Somehow, it had taken them years to piece together the uncomfortable truth of those childhood dreams.

Now, with Luke so long gone, and her family pulled so far apart, Leia closes her eyes and breathes deep, and tries to summon him back once more.
