In their...family (can he call it that?), childhood is a strange concept. Din's was cut short, Grogu's was strange and then interrupted and now strange again and always far longer than Din's concept of childhood previously encompassed, and most of their fringe family members have not had the most typical of childhood experiences either (Din guessed that was what nearly a century of war did...though he wasn't quite sure about the wars, everyone said they'd happened, so he guessed he would believe them).

Still, despite all of their abnormalities, Din was determined to give Grogu the best childhood he could, even if he had no idea what that meant—he should probably find someone to ask about that
