"We have only one choice," Stiles turns to Derek and silently curses, for the millionth time, the stupid fae that want to get their hands on the Hale line's ability to fully shift into wolves; stupid fae that want to trap Derek into a marriage and kidnap him off to fae land. "You have to marry me instead. So, marry me?"

Derek swallows hard and Stiles can see the understanding in his gaze--Stiles is the only pack member, aside from Derek, not attached to anyone; and he's willing. "Okay," Derek says, "okay."

Stiles sighs with relief even though this isn't how he planned on ever asking Derek to marry him.
