"Hello, Mrs. Pevensie," is what the strange man in long, sparkly robes and a pointy hat says when Helen opens the door. "I don't suppose your daughter is in? She's been accepted to a very prestigious school up in Scotland."
A little in shock at the stranger's odd form of dress, she invites him in. Helen hears the girls' door past the landing creak open, but no footsteps; her children have learned subtlety, it seems, since their stay with Professor Kirke. She turns back to her guest. "Now, would you care to explain what this school business is all about?"
"I'm a professor at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry." With that pronouncement, he turns her dining room table into a pig.
Both of them hear the gasps of horror from up the stairs.
