Susan is a sister without siblings and a daughter without parents, but at least she can talk about that; at least other people understand what she is missing. When her brothers and sister were killed, along with them died everyone who knew she was once a queen, everyone who had seen Narnia's green hills and foamy seas from Cair Paravel. She has never spoken of it to anyone else; now there is no one to speak of it to her.
